Design of rehabilitation work of Existing Structures

Existing structures design shall include restoring the existing structure to its previously functioning state, or demolition and reconstruction of the whole structure using the design parameters. Tetra Tech (Tt) Engineering Support Program (ESP) will share the existing condition data as well as field engineers’ recommendations on whether a structure will require restoration to its previously functioning state, or a new design for complete reconstruction. Below is a list of existing structures types along the subject canal length. Design work is further specified in Section 2.1.

DV shall provide an “issued for construction” irrigation canal design package, including drawings, specifications, and design calculations, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and Cost Estimate for the completion of work for Canal Irrigation schemes.

DV shall use the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) for this project (www.wbdg.org/ccb). DV shall provide professional quality, technically accurate issued for construction drawings. The plans shall conform to the designated project scope as required. Design shall include complete structural, mechanical, and civil design services, as appropriate. DV shall provide services for designing of irrigation schemes, preparation of drawings and maps (site plans, proposed structure plans, contour map), plan and profiles, and cross-sections. DV shall provide detailed structure drawings and designs, along with calculations and specifications. DV is required to follow Tetra Tech’s CAD standard and format to avoid work duplication and compatibility issues when submitting their data to Tt ESP.
