The Humanitarian Organization for Local Development (HOLD) was established in 2008 as an Afghan non-profit organization. HOLD began its work in Farah Province, Afghanistan where the Women Empowerment Training Centre was built. This training centre is the only safe space where girls and women can learn subjects such as basic math and English skills. HOLD also focuses on sustainable development programs in:
