Media coverage of FAO-USAID-MAIL Inception Event

1. Program Photography Coverage

A dedicated photographer will be assigned for the whole event to capture at least 100 HD pictures per day to cover each activity and moment of the event.

2. Program Videography Coverage

DV will film, and produce one full event PSA / documentary digital format film. The clip will be filmed in the original language of subject presenters (Dari and Pashto) with accompanying subtitles to be in English. Two complete versions (Dari and Pashto voice overs) will be finalized by the DV. DV will provide all necessary filming, production, and post-production equipment. No equipment or software (i.e. cameras, computers, movie editing software, etc.) will be purchased under this activity. All costs associated with the PSA / documentary production will be the sole responsibility of the DV and it is incorporated in the cost proposal.

The PSA / documentary will include professional high-quality transitions, voice-over narration, and appropriate supporting background music. The film crew shall be versatile and unobtrusive as all the sequences will be filmed in a high-level government environment. The FAO will ensure proper access is granted to film locations and that interview subjects are scripted and provided for filming. FAO will introduce one person who will accompany the film crew at all times while shooting on location.

Post-production: DV will work closely with the FAO during the editing phase to finalize the PSA / documentary. The work during this phase will be conducted remotely at the DV’s editing facility. It is expected that it will take 3-days to complete after full and final review of FAO, the reviews will continue until it is accepted and approved by FAO.

Four HD DSLR cameras with all it is equipment like Gained-Ball, high definition lenses, high quality recorders etc. will be deployed to capture the full event throughout the day. DV will produced two following types of videos;

  • Development of one long (10 minutes) video documentary from the event
  • Development of two short video documentaries topic specific (two minutes event highlight video) free of cost
  • And any other type of video that could be requested by FAO from the existing recorded videos will be produced free of charge
  • All raw footages will be provided to FAO
